The 100% waterproof lining of the hydratex G-liner is applied to the inner lining of the pants, to keep the rain out if the rain should come. The access zipper that runs the length of the pants also has a wind flap on the inside. Even if you get caught in the rain or ride over wet surfaces, you won't get soaked.
