The primary objective of the S-Tech M8 is protection, and the secondary objective is to provide excellent ventilation, comfort and reduced weight. MAIN CHARACTERISTICS

• The Alpinestars Supertech S-M8 has 4 different shell sizes and 6 total sizes, so you will always have a perfect fit. Finally, it is also equipped with an emergency cheek pad system for easy helmet removal after a crash.
• The design of the S-M8's visor is also an integral part of the ventilation system, as it is profiled to direct airflow, acting as a channel to concentrate and smooth the flow into the shell. 
• The 4-layer impact protection has different densities, allowing it to cushion all types of impacts, from low energy to high energy. 
• The MIPS system ensures rotational damping. When your helmet hits something at an angle, it causes a rotation. 
• MIPS systems dampen this rotation, which helps reduce the chance of brain injury. 
• Fitting is one of the most impactful parts of a protective motocross helmet. 
• In accordance with DOT certification and ECE homologation, the SM-8 is certified for worldwide use.
• The outer shell of the Alpinestars S-M8 is made of fiberglass composite.
• The damping system of the Supertech S-M8 is constructed from 4 layers and the MIPS system. 
• The Supertech liner design is engineered to optimize airflow channeling around the rider's head before being removed from the S-M8 through the rear vents to ensure positive pressure is maintained with constant airflow while riding.
• The removable liner cover is washable and features a cool-max fabric interior and antibacterial talent yarn for long-lasting freshness and quick-drying performance between riding sessions.
• Wider than the certification requirement: 26mm for comfort and produced with a woven polyester yarn to give a soft "hand" feel and connects securely with a double D-ring.
• Clavicle protection is an important design feature of the Supertech helmet shell base profile. The base of the S-M8 has been sculpted to give a relief section, where the lower profile is raised to clear the clavicle (collarbone). Also, incorporated into the base pad area, where it sits on the rider's collarbone, is an energy absorbing pad; a more flexible composite rubber section that allows for deflection when it comes in contact with the collarbone. The Supertech S-M8 chin guard is formed from polypropylene which, by allowing a degree of lateral deflection, further enhances impact protection for the collarbones.
• Ventilation is a key feature of the Supertech S-M8. Heat mapping tests have resulted in specifically designed ducts that produce positive flow in the helmet over and around the rider's head, improving comfort while riding and reducing the occurrence of heat stress in extreme conditions.
