Handcrafted, the outer shell supports the strength of the core but with a substantial weight reduction. The smooth, rounded shape is a key Arai feature and is developed primarily to "bounce back" and spread impact forces. For simple access in and out, the Quantic features a five mm expansion around the base, while the VAS MAX vision visor comes with a ready-to-use Pinlock insert. The brushed nylon interior is removable and features a facial contouring system (FCS) and a coiled wire pocket in the neck. It also has an Emergency Release System (ERS).
