How did the Rukka brand start?

Rukka is a brand specialized in the manufacture of thermal and waterproof garments. And its production is closely related to its origin. In 1950, Roger Störling founded the company "AB Sportsbeklädnad Urheiluvaatetus Oy" for the manufacture of jogging clothing. 

Over the years, the family business acquired its first welding machines and started manufacturing waterproof clothing for the first time. In 1966, the factory changed its name to Rukka Products and in 1981 to Rukka Oy. "Rukka" is the nickname used by Roger Störling to refer to the brand. 

Since 1990, Rukka becomes an independent division of L-Fashion Group Oy, one of the most important manufacturers of sportswear in Europe, and it is since then that it begins its climb in the motorcycling world.
