Protective Interior System ALPINESTARS Tech-AIR 7X System INT black / red. Developed specifically for road racing, track use and high-performance road riding, the FIM-approved Tech-Air® 7x system is derived from Alpinestars' proven MotoGP airbag technology. The fully self-contained, self-contained motorcycle airbag system is designed for racing and offers riders aerodynamic, low-profile, highly ventilated Tech-Air® protection. Developed for sport/recreational motorcycling, the Tech-Air® 7x provides riders with comprehensive upper body protection by covering their shoulders, chest and full back. The integrated back protector extends in length for additional coccyx protection. The Tech-Air® 7x system can be used as a stand-alone system or as an integrated system within a compatible suit or jacket. The system is designed to perform in closed course racing, as well as for road riding and light off-road riding.

MAIN CHARACTERISTICS

• The Tech-Air® 7x system is equipped with two driving modes, RACE and STREET, which have specific AI crash detection algorithms that can be easily selected through the Tech-Air® app.
• The Tech-Air® 7x system is designed to be worn under any Alpinestars Tech-Air® Ready or Tech-Air® compatible leather suit or jacket, or any third party leather suit with 4 cm of space around the circumference of the rider's chest. The additional chest space is necessary to accommodate airbag inflation in the event of deployment. In addition, the leather suit should not be too tight in the crotch area, to avoid discomfort in case of deployment.
• The Tech-Air® 7x system is designed to attach quickly and easily to Tech-Air® compatible race suits or jackets for convenience and comfort.
• The Tech-Air® 7x system is equipped with a converter kit, allowing it to also be used as a stand-alone airbag system for real-world versatility.
• The Tech-Air® 7x system features dual-loading capability, which means that with two full gas inflators, the system provides two separate airbag deployments. Only one gas inflator will deploy to inflate the entire airbag system in the event of a crash.
• A quick release cover opening allows users to quickly replace the gas inflator, only available in countries where local regulations permit gas inflator replacement by individuals.
• The Tech-Air® 7x system uses an integrated, certified lithium-ion battery with a fully charged battery life of approximately 20 hours of active riding time and a recharge time of approximately 4 hours; charging the battery for approximately 1 hour will provide approximately 7 to 8 hours of riding.
• Ease of use; To turn on the Tech-Air® 7x system, simply close the front flap, taking care to properly attach the hook and loop patches. An internal magnetic switch will detect that the front flap is closed and the system will turn on and automatically activate the airbag system. To deactivate the airbag, open the front flap and it will automatically turn off.
• The Tech-Air® 7x system base layer can be hand washed separately, after removing the non-washable parts including the Airbag, gas inflators and ALL electronic components including the LED display and wiring.
• The Tech-Air® 7x system is compatible with all FIM Grand Prix requirements for airbag systems, making it suitable for road racing competitions.
• The Tech-Air® 7x System features the latest evolution of Alpinestars Tech-Air® technology, including a more compact and complete Active Electronics System that is equipped with 12 sensors.
• There are 4 triaxial sensors: 1 triaxial accelerometer and 1 triaxial gyroscope located in the main electronic control unit, and 2 additional triaxial accelerometers located in the shoulders, developed specifically for track and high performance riding, and these combine with the Tech-Air® algorithm to accurately monitor when to deploy the Airbag in the event of a crash. When a crash situation is detected, a protective airbag is deployed, providing unmatched driver protection with a maximum inflation time of 44 ms, depending on the size of the airbag.
• The airbag has been fully certified for up to 4 airbag deployments before it needs to be replaced, provided that the airbag has not been damaged in one of the first 3 deployments.
• This Airbag System is certified as Category II PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) according to European Regulation (EU) 2016/425.

• The Tech-Air® 7x system is certified as an undergarment for use in combination with and under a protective garment.
• The integrated back protector extends to protect the coccyx.
• An integrated LED display is strategically located on the front flap and indicates the system's operating status, battery status and the number of available inflators remaining.
• The Tech-Air® 7x system can be connected to an external wired LED display, sold as an accessory, for use with an Alpinestars Tech-Air® 7x system exclusive racing suit or Tech-Air® compatible jacket.
• The System can be connected to the LED display on the left arm of Alpinestars Tech-Air® compatible suits or jackets, or to the new Tech-Air® 7x System wired LED display available as an accessory, for use with the new generation of Tech-Air® 7x compatible Garments equipped with a dedicated LED display pocket and cable routing.
• The Front Flap features an integrated charging port for convenient and easy system charging; simply connect the USB-C cable to the Front Flap and connect it to a power source. The charging port is always accessible, even when the system is integrated into an Alpinestars leather suit or jacket.
• The Tech-Air® 7x ECU is located inside a rugged housing and is seal-protected inside the vest to ensure all-weather performance; The vest and components are certified to operate between -10⁰C and 50⁰C.
• The vest features extensive perforations for superior airflow, while the ribbed treatment and air channels inside ensure enhanced breathability and powerful airflow for supreme levels of comfort.
• Strategically placed stretch panels on the sides for an optimized performance fit.
• Once deployed, the Airbag automatically deflates via a deflation valve.
• Gas inflator housing, electronic wiring and system Airbag can be easily removed.
• Bluetooth connectivity to a Tech-Air® app provides passengers with airbag system operating status, battery status and MyRide trip information, which can be easily accessed from a mobile device, subject to network coverage.
• Passengers can easily update system firmware when new crash detection algorithms are released through the Tech-Air® app.
