Jacket ALPINESTARS Hyde XT Drystar XF sand / black. The Drystar®XF jacket is reinforced with ripstop nylon on the outer arms and shoulders for high levels of durability. As the name suggests, the Hyde XT features a laminated Drystar®XF membrane (XF for extra flow) that is waterproof and highly breathable for excellent performance in wet conditions. The laminated, waterproof and breathable Drystar®XF membrane is very beneficial for riders riding in the wet, as it makes the jacket very compact and lightweight. The advantage of Drystar®XF is that it does not allow water to penetrate or seep into the outer shell, as the membrane prevents the jacket from becoming waterlogged and heavy, protects the rider from the elements and prevents wind chill, while allowing the fabric to breathe. The Hyde XT adapts to the weather, with its long direct vent ports on each side at the front and back, zippered air intakes on the forearms and Super-airflow panel at the front zipper opening, which provides plenty of ventilation and breathability when the weather heats up. Internally, the Hyde XT has a removable inner armored mesh jacket that zippers closed with Nucleon Flex Plus CE Level 1 rated armor.

Since the Hyde XT has a heavier focus and potential for off-road riding, the inner mesh jacket is designed to keep the armor close to the rider's body for maximum comfort and protection, eliminating any movement restrictions related to the interaction of the outer shell and armor when riding an off-road motorcycle. The armored mesh inner jacket is also fully upgradeable to Nucleon Flex Pro Level 2 armor and is Tech-Air® ready to accommodate the Tech-Air® 5 or, in the future, the Tech-Air® OFF-ROAD System (when the product becomes available) for the ultimate in rider protection. Extremely versatile, the Hyde XT Drystar®XF also comes with a removable armored mesh inner jacket, allowing the Hyde XT to function as a casual garment when not on the bike, or also as the perfect everyday commuter jacket.
